Find articles about spaces where you can do things, education & learning, business, nonprofits that improve the communities of central Washington County, sports, and health & welfare.
Two new articles are published each week. On Thanksgiving week, only one article is published. Washingtonish takes a holiday break at the end of each year – new articles are not published during the latter part of December.
You will see reviews of local places that Washingtonish aggregates from other sites. There’s always a link back to the site, where you can read the full review and other reviews. Some review excerpts are edited for grammar.
WashingtonPA is supported by advertising. All the advertising here is local. When you click on a display ad, a website for a local business opens. Buy local – it helps the local economy.

A few notes about styles we use.
- Pennsylvania is almost always abbreviated to PA
- In history articles, years are often approximate – as it is more important to get the facts generally right than it is to memorize specific years
- Dollar amounts may also be rounded, for similar reasons
