Area 5Ks To Run Or Walk In 2022
A 3-mile (5K) run or walk is a great way to work out, socialize and raise money for a cause.
Most people will take at least 30 minutes to run a 5K and will complete the course within an hour.
You arrive at the race, warm up for 10 to 20 minutes, race for 40 minutes maximum, cool down, replenish with food and drink, and head home in your new race T-shirt

Hit The Trail Community 5K

Kyle's Klassic 5K Walk & Run

Where: Hendersonville, Cecil Township – Tandem Connection. Race is on the Montour Trail.
When: 8:00 AM until 12:30 PM
More: Kyle's Klassic is a memorial event that honors Kyle Cratty. Proceeds will be donated to the Washington and Greene County Special Olympics.
Whiskey Rebellion 5K
Date: Monday, July 4
Where: Canonsburg – Canon-McMillan Stadium
When: 7:30 AM until 9:30 AM

Cecil Township Volunteer Fire Department 5K

Where: Cecil Township – Cecil Park Miner's Pavilion No. 4. Race is on the Montour Trail.
When: 9:30 AM until noon
More: This year’s theme is Halloween. Feel free to wear a costume. Limited refreshments and food will be provided. Supports the Cecil Township VFD.

More: This race is a fundraiser to benefit the Community Scholarship Foundation of Canon McMillan.
Fees apply to most of these 5Ks as part of the fundraisers, and aren’t usually refundable.
Taking breaks during a 5K makes it possible for a wide variety of people to enjoy and complete a 5K. Breaks hurt individual race times.
There’s at least one race on this list every month through October. Frequent walking coupled with regular participation in 5Ks can reduce the number of breaks and improve individual race times.
